Fredonia Irene Ticknor

        Fredonia Irene Ticknor, age 77, of 1480 South Lyndell Drive, Kissimmee, Florida died Saturday, October 14, 2000 at her residence.  

        Born December 17, 1922 in Nashville, Tennessee the daughter of Fatal and Bertha Norris Carroll.  Mrs. Ticknor moved to the Central Florida area from Nebraska in 1970.  She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church, Kissimmee.  She was a member of the Kissimmee Woman’s Club and the Kissimmee Yacht Club.  Mrs. Ticknor and her husband, Lt. Col. Ernest J. Ticknor, enjoyed travel and had many enjoyable days touring America in their motor home. 

        Survivors include her husband, Lt. Col. Ernest J. Ticknor of Kissimmee, Florida; sons, Wayne Ticknor of Kissimmee, Florida and Thomas Ticknor of Orlando, Florida; brother, Buford Carroll of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Doris Prince of New Orleans and Evelyn Leaver of Nashville, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

        Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 21, 2000 from Grissom Chapel with Rev. Grant Sigfried, Pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating.

        In lieu of flowers the family of Fredonia Irene Ticknor respectfully requested memorial be made to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612-9497 or Hospice of the Comforter, 4 West Darlington Avenue, Kissimmee, Florida, 34741.
